This vinyl and paper cutter plugs into your computer giving you access to all of your favorite fonts and shapes at anytime, in any size. The Silhouette Digital Cutting Tool plugs into your PC just like a printer. That allows you to use the included software to create custom paper or vinyl lettering and other designs using any font already installed on your computer. The Silhouette is a digital cutting tool for personal use. Similar to the functioning of a home printer, it cuts paper and other materials like vinyl with a blade instead of printing onto it. The machine comes with interactive computer software that helps you customize words, phrases and other digital designs that you want to cut. It also allows you to add to your digital design library by linking to our Silhouette Online Store. There you can select, purchase and download individual designs that you want 24 hours a day.

When you connect your Silhouette to a PC you gain access to hundreds of Digital Designs available through the Silhouette Online Store. With an unlimited subscription to the Store, you can download individual Designs 24/7. Without a subscription, Designs cost only $1.99 each.

Like to go to crops or be crafty on the go? No problem! The Silhouette Digital Cutting Tool has an SD card reader built in. Just use the included software to save your favorite Designs onto a standard SD card, plug the card into your Silhouette and use the built-in LCD screen to find and cut designs without your computer.

Sketching

The Silhouette blade can easily be interchanged with special Silhouette pens in order to draw designs instead of cutting them. With a pen in the machine instead of the blade, the Silhouette will make the same motions, but will draw your design rather than cut it.

Print & Cut

The Silhouette is also equipped with an optical sensor to allow precise cutting of printed designs. Open your favorite clip art in the Silhouette software, arrange it how you like, then print it out on your home printer. The software will print small registration marks on the page which will allow the Silhouette to align the cutting blade perfectly with your printed artwork. With the Silhouette, the possibilities are endless.
